Premier League matches 15/4/10

The Premier League race got even more interesting after one result made the hopes of one candidate rather slim.

Aston Villa 2-2 Everton
These two teams are on the somewhat same form. They've both been teams that have done shockingly well this season. However, Aston Villa's hopes of 4th place have all but burnt out after this result. They need to keep winning games. If they don't, they're not even guaranteed a place in next season's Europa League let alone the Champions League.

Tottenham 2-1 Arsenal
Tottenham needed to win this match to show that 4th place was still within their grasp, they did superbly well. If it hadn't been for a late goal from Nicklas Bendter (Arsenal striker) they would have won 2-0. Tottenham have not only given Arsenal's title hopes a battering, but also make Man. City look back in fear.

Wigan 0-0 Portsmouth
Wigan are dangling by a small thread above the relegation zone. Wigan have to win matches if they want to ensure safety. I think that one win is all that's needed to ensure that Wigan play Premier league football next season. Portsmouth are already relegated, so they have the job of playing their last Premier League games and slipping other teams up.

There are seven Premier League matches on saturday, a day that could see Chelsea go seven points clear of Man. United.

Birmingham 1-0 Hull
Blackburn 2-1 Everton
Fulham 1-0 Wolves
Man. City 2-1 Man. United
Stoke 2-1 Bolton
Sunderland 2-0 Burnley
Tottenham 1-2 Chelsea.

Can Chelsea go seven points clear of Man. United?
