Premier League matches 2/5/10

For most, today was the penultimate round of matches. How did it go?

Birmingham 2-1 Burnley
Birmingham played this match at home. As we know, Birmingham have a very good home record, and Burnley have a very bad away record. Hence the result, although I thought that Birmingham shouldn't have conceded that Burnley goal,

Man. City 3-1 Aston Villa
We've seen throughout the course of the season that Man. City are a better team than Aston Villa. Man. City are a better team. The one thing that Villa have to work on for next season is their away record so that it can match their superb home record. Man. City and Tottenham are the only two teams left in the fight for fourth now.

Portsmouth 3-1 Wolves
I didn't expect this. Wolves have been doing so well in recent matches and then they slip up at relegated Portsmouth? That doesn't make sense. Of course, Wolves are safe anyway, but it would have been nice to grab some extra points against Portsmouth.

Stoke 0-0 Everton
Stoke also have a very decent home record. They showed this against Everton. Everton also don't have the best away record. Stoke were able to hold Everton to a 0-0 draw because of this. As I said in my previous prediction, I expected a draw anyway.

Tottenham 1-0 Bolton
Tottenham kept up their part in the battle for fourth. Bolton also don't do well away from home. Someday I'd like to see Bolton get relegated, but sadly it won't be this season. I did however expect Tottenham to score more goals than one, but they at least got the three points.

'Super Sunday' brings super matches. Let's predict.

Fulham 2-0 West Ham
Liverpool 1-2 Chelsea
Sunderland 1-2 Man. United

Let's see what it shall bring.
