From a dramatic round of Premier League matches.
Arsenal 1-0 Liverpool
Arsenal needed something to lift their title hopes again. They were desperate for a win against Liverpool. When Arsenal want to do something against a team (except Man. United or Chelsea) they can do it. Congratulations Arsenal. It was even better for them when they heard the other results.
Aston Villa 1-1 Man. United
Every 'big four' side has screwed up at Villa Park this season. Chelsea lost, Arsenal drew, Liverpool won but have slowly disintergrated out of the 'big four' and United also drew. Aston Villa took a decent step towards Champions League qualification. Man. United missed a great chance too go top of the table.
Blackburn 1-0 Hull
I didn't expect that to come. But I suppose being two evenly matched sides, the win would go to the team with home advantage. Hull have been on a decent string of good results, but that has to end someday.
Everton 2-1 Chelsea
This is simple. Chelsea don't do well away from home at some places. They haven't lost any home games this season. They can't throw away points like that if they want to win the league. They were lucky that Man. United drew with Aston Villa. I don't think they'll get so much luck again.
West Ham 2-0 Birmingham
Well done West Ham. They've been doing quite badly all season. Now, they've won against a decently big team. Are Birmingham starting to falter? I don't know, but unless West Ham want to be in relegated to the Championship next season, they must start winning games. Was this the first of many?
Wolves 1-0 Tottenham
What happened here? Tottenham drew with Aston Villa last week. Wolves lost to Birmingham. So there was either a big turn-around at Wolves or something is wrong at Tottenham or both.
Whatever happened is was good for Wolves. Bad for Tottenham as they missed the chance to go to 4th place and Aston Villa are catching up.
FA cup matches this weekend. On saturday the games are (with predictions)
Chelsea 3-0 Cardiff
Derby 2-2 Birmingham
Man. City 2-1 Stoke
Southampton 2-1 Portsmouth
See ya then.
