Premier League match 24/10/10

One correct prediction and one shocking result on today's post.

Stoke 1-2 Man. United
Man. United were in the tabloids all week thanks to the Wayne Rooney saga. Sir Alex Ferguson went into this game wanting a win to boost morale throughout the club. They did suffer a late setback, but they scored again 5 minutes from time. All people associated with Man. United can sleep comfortabley knowing that all Man. United's troubles -at least for now- have passed.

Liverpool 2-1 Blackburn
Liverpool fans can also sleep well after this result. Liverpool are in the relegation zone at the moment, and their last match at Anfield was a 2-1 loss to newly promoted Blackpool. At this point, Roy Hodgson(the Liverpool boss) really needed something to assure the club's new owners that he has what it takes. This win, despite an own goal from Jamie Carragher was just that.

Man. City 0-3 Arsenal
WOAH!!!!!!!! Amazing result. Arsenal must've gone to Manchester with their heads held high. There are only two ways to explain this result. First, that Man. City played 10 men for most of the game because they had a man sent off. Also, that Arsenal didn't look at Chelsea and Liverpool's results and went in there thinking and believing that they would win.

Am back in England next week so may not be able to post but I will still predict.

Arsenal 4-0 West Ham
Blackburn 0-1 Chelsea
Everton 2-1 Stoke
Fulham 1-0 Wigan
Wolves 1-3 Man. City
Man. United 3-2 Tottenham

I'm getting a little more exotic with my scorelines at this point.

Premier League matches 23/10/10

Sorry. Have been in London and was not able to reach the internet. But no matter, let's get going with the 7 games from yesterday.

Birmingham 2-0 Blackpool
I've had a knack for Balckpool from day 1. But their problem is their away record compared to Birmingham's home record. Birmingham are pretty comfortable at St. Andrews (Birmingham's stadium), and Blackpool have struggled away from home. So this was really no surprise.

Chelsea 2-0 Wolves
It's the same situation with this game as well. Stamford Bridge (If you don't know what this is look it up and smack yourself on the head) has become a fortress for Chelsea. Very few teams have left Stamford Bridge in the knowledge that they took all three points. Wolves who started this match in 18th, need to work harder to avoid relegation.

Sunderland 1-0 Aston Villa
The short and the long is that in this match, Aston Villa were unlucky. Sunderland are really starting to build up a home record. Aston Villa went into this match fresh off their draw with Chelsea two weeks ago. THE ONE GOAL THAT WAS SCORED WAS AN OWN GOAL BY DUNNE!!! I'm sorry to say that if he hadn't it would probably have been 0-0.

Tottenham 1-1 Everton
I don't blame the result. These are two very evenly matched sides despite what the table says. Tottenham and Everton have always been two neck-and-neck sides. So this result was no a surprise. I did however expect home advantage to play out in Tottenham's flavor.

WBA 2-1 Fulham
This game belonged to WBA. They did scrore an own goal. But they got back in it. WBA had really 'boing-boinged' their way up the table. They presently sit 4th in the table and with results like this, it doesn't look they're going anywhere else anytime soon. WBA have vastly improved.

West Ham 1-2 Newcastle
West Ham's season has gone from bad to worse. Smallest goal difference in the Premier league, 6 points out of a possible 27, one win this entire season, and still rooted to 20th. I don't know what's going on at West Ham. But they need to sort it out, if they want to stay up this season. Newcastle have really turned into the Premier league powehouse that they used to be.

Wigan 1-1 Bolton
Simple. When you have two very bad average sides, you get a very bad average score, 1-1.

Huge matches on 'super sunday' coming up...

Stoke 1-1 Man. United
Liverpool 2-1 Blackburn
Man. City 2-1 Arsenal

Huge predictions, but huge results?

Premier League match 17/8/10

The runners up culminated the openers today. How did they do?

Man. United 3-0 Newcastle
Man. United won the charity shield thi season with a 3-1 win over Chelsea. They came into this game feeling pretty pumped about that. Newcastle are a newly promoted team and adjusting to life in the premier league again. Last year's runners up showed to Chelsea that they want their title back.

More matches next saturday as the premier league gets into full swing.

Arsenal 3-1 Blackpool
Birmingham 1-1 Blackburn
Everton 2-1 Wolves
Stoke 0-2 Tottenham
WBA 0-1 Sunderland
West Ham 1-0 Bolton
Wigan 0-2 Chelsea

Will it be 7/7?

Premier League match 16/8/10

Today two of the biggest teams in the premier league fought it out.

Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal
These two teams are very equally matched. I think the draw came because of this. I also think that Liverpool have improved since last season. We'll have to wait a little while before that can be confirmed. Can Liverpool break into the top 4 this season?

There are only two teams left to report on that play tomorrow. Let's predict.

Man. United 2-0 Newcastle

What will be?

World Cup Group Stage 17/6/2010

Big results from last night's games.

Honduras 0-1 Chile
This was understandable. Chile did really well in qualifying, and Honduras scraped through on the last day. I think that Chile was the better team and I think that the win was deserved. Well done Chile. Honduras I think need to show their dominance and show that they won't be pushed over in this group.

Spain 0-1 Switzerland
WHAT!!!! Very unexpected. Spain are the favorites and Switzerland haven't been doing well in football. Spain must've been overconfident, which caused the upset. A lot of people will hope that this doesn't happen again. Can Spain recover? Anyway, WELL DONE SWITZERLAND!!!!!!!!

South Africa 0-3 Uruguay
I think that day 1 might have just been luck. There was no surprise from the result. Uruguay are a much better team than the South Africans. The Uruguayans are doing superbly well. The South Africans tried but failed. Well, there's always Brazil 2014. Will they at least take points from France in their final game?

Three more matches are coming tonight.

Argentina 2-1 South Korea
Nigeria 2-0 Greece
France 1-1 Mexico

What will happen?

World Cup Group Stage 15/6/2010

The First own goal of the world cup was scored today, but who scored it?

Holland 2-0 Denmark
The own goal came seconds after half-time in this game. This was actually the result that I predicted. I know what the two teams need to work on as well. Denmark need to work on defending crossess(as the own goal was a header from a cross), and Holland need to work on defending counter-attacks.

Japan 1-0 Cameroon
I thought that Cameroon would win this. Being on African soil against a team that let in two own goals in a friendly against England recently. But, Japan recovered to beat Cameroon and grab three vital points in the group of death.

Italy 1-1 Paraguay
Not an incredibly good result for the reigning world champions to start with. I guess that they do have an easy group, but it still would've been nice to win the opening game. Anyway, Italy have changed since the days of 2006. They are now an older team. As shown today, their age is starting to rub ontoi their performance.

Brazil and Portugal are in action tomorrow. Let's predict.

New Zealand 1-1 Slovakia
Brazil 5-0 North Korea
Portugal 1-0 Ivory Coast

What's gonna happen?

World Cup Group Stage 14/6/2010

A sickness prevented me from posting. But I'm back with dramatic results.

Algeria 0-1 Slovenia
This result was simply caused by the same thing that yesterday's England draw was caused by. PURE LUCK (HUGE goalkeeper error). The goalkeeper let the ball bounce past him. Slovenia will be happy to take those three points, but will their luck strike again against U.S.A. next week? Can Algeria bounce back against England?

Serbia 0-1 Ghana
This game in a way was also caused by pure luck. The game was tied for 85 minutes before a penalty was given, which Ghana happily scored. But you must also look at the fact that Ghana are a somwhat better team than Serbia. Maybe a combination of the two?

Germany 4-0 Australia
Absolute DISASTER for the Australians. They were 2-0 down at half time and then soon later, star player Tim Cahill got sent off. Germany soon scored two other goals, but their world cup hopes are at the moment in serious jeopardy. Tim Cahill out for the group stages and bottom of their group with a nasty looking goal difference. The question on the mind of every socceroos (Australia's nickname) fan tonight is, can they recover?

Ok. The holders are in action today, as well as action from the so called 'group of death'.

Holland 2-0 Denmark
Japan 0-1 Cameroon
Italy 2-1 Paraguay

I'll be returning with the results tomorrow.
